In Muhammad Rodhni's words:
*"I started traveling at an early age. Over my life, I never stopped. But every time I left Uganda, I felt something slip away—the bond with my masjid, the brotherhood, the reminders. One day, a close friend called me from abroad. He said, 'Rodhni, I don't even pray anymore. There's no one here to remind me.' That broke something in me."*
This conversation exposed a painful reality: traveling for work should not mean losing your faith. Yet countless Ugandans abroad struggle to stay connected to their religion. Their children grow up without Islamic education. Their marriages suffer without guidance. Some even leave the faith entirely—not out of choice, but out of isolation.
Driven by the determination to keep the Ummah connected, Al Jama'ah was formed by Muhammad Rodhni Kiggundu alongside community religious leaders, tech supporters, and volunteers who believed that distance should never mean disconnection.
The struggles of traveling brothers and sisters—and the children born far from home—remain a constant reminder of the urgent need for action. Al Jama'ah, now growing across Africa, aims to be a reliable bridge: connecting every Muslim to trusted leaders, spiritual guidance, and a community that has their back.
The organization is committed to making sure that no Muslim feels alone again. Whether you are abroad, raising a family far from home, or new to the faith—Al Jama'ah is your masjid in your pocket. Your bridge home.
